(/showthread.php?tid=31603) Best Free Anti-Virus software. by Vilkku on 09-16-2004 at 04:06 PM Well, I'm starting to get tired on my 1-and-a-half year old F-Secure AV and I tought I should get one of those free softwares instead. I have a few reasons for this, one is that my licnese for FSAV has expired (still claims it's being updated, so I don't know if it really has expired). I don't want any 30-day free AV softwares, I would like a fully free one. I know a few, but I would like to know wich one is the best. Also put some pros and cons. Thanks. AVG - Free edition - Pros - succeeded in identifying and preventing attack of all known viruses (some link on the website plus a date for it), tis nice not bulky like otehr AV's RE: Best Free Anti-Virus software. by Vilkku on 09-16-2004 at 04:18 PM Hmm... Say a few features that are missing? And btw can it delete archives if a virus is detected inside it? FS can't (at least not my ver) so I have to look up the file and delete it manually. The cracked ones are best RE: Best Free Anti-Virus software. by Vilkku on 09-16-2004 at 04:34 PM I know that cracked ones are the best, but I would prefer a AV software that is legally mine to use. A new AV software. RE: Best Free Anti-Virus software. by RebelSean on 09-18-2004 at 04:41 PM
