Try the button thats RE: i have a problem..... by irish_king on 09-16-2004 at 07:16 PM
it does the exact same thing, as right clicking on the file or folder. RE: i have a problem..... by irish_king on 09-17-2004 at 06:10 PM has anybody figured anything out? RE: i have a problem..... by lopardo on 09-17-2004 at 06:24 PM Does it also happen in safe mode? If it does, then the best solution would be making a clean reinstall . But if it doesn't, then we should find what's causing it, possibly an application incompatibility. RE: i have a problem..... by irish_king on 09-17-2004 at 06:55 PM yes it does it in safe mode also. quote:Good luck with it, but I fear for you. And if you updated to SP2 recently, I hope for you that System Restore won't mix SP1 regsettings & files with SP2 ones, because if it does, you're fooked. RE: RE: i have a problem..... by irish_king on 09-17-2004 at 07:09 PM

He means that System Restore could cause more problems than fixes You should make a clean reinstall, make a backup of your important document and files, make an integrated Windows XP SP2 CD, format and reinstall. RE: RE: i have a problem..... by irish_king on 09-17-2004 at 07:23 PM
quote: see the problem is i can't back up,format and reinstall i have a 80 gig hdd, and that is full of important files. andi do not have the money to go and buy a bigger hdd, to trasfer the files to. RE: i have a problem..... by lopardo on 09-17-2004 at 07:28 PM
Are your system files (the Windows, Program Files, Documents and Settings folder) in a separate partition? If so, you'd just need to format that partition, and save files you want to keep to another partition. quote: RE: RE: i have a problem..... by irish_king on 09-17-2004 at 07:35 PM
