quote:Well, you don't know about this and I do, although I've hardly ever used MSIE for a year. Anyway, I've used it for years, too. And I'm not ashamed, but there're better alternatives. Btw, Sean, you would sleep only 2 hours if you were 13 hours siting in forn of the PC, assuming you waste 1 hour eating and another hour on your way home or hanging around somewhere watching TV whatsoever, then you just don't sleep: Then you're obsessed. You should get to the psychiatrist's... quote:Is Sean a n00b in browsing? I don't think so, so I don't see from whom you quoted that quote:Who said I think Microsoft sucks? Who says I'm using Microsoft's now? Please, marissa, don't spam. Thanks RE: Error On Page While Posting Reply... by CookieRevised on 09-17-2004 at 09:03 PM
quote: quote: school ends => 3:00pm coming home => 3:15pm (best case scenario) doing homework => 4:15pm (best case scenario) surfing => 6:00pm (so that's less then 2 hours) 30 min to eat => 6:30pm (best case scenario) surfing for (13-2=) 9 hours => 3:30am So that's 2 and a half hour to sleep till 6:00am, each day, and you're 14(?).... Why do I find that a bit unbelievable EDIT: KeyStorm beated me... RE: Error On Page While Posting Reply... by RebelSean on 09-17-2004 at 09:33 PM
I dont have homework..... RE: Error On Page While Posting Reply... by KeyStorm on 09-17-2004 at 10:16 PM
Well, that reduces the time at the computer to a 75% of you estimation: 9.25h. Man... gotta get some fresh air... RE: Error On Page While Posting Reply... by RebelSean on 09-18-2004 at 12:49 AM
Hmmmm.. I do eat dinner with my family. Half the time we eat out or get chit deleivered....My friends come over here to my house were we goof off... My friends are also on the computer alot. I did tonight eat with my parents...... And I may have been exagerent with the hours....I sumtimes dont even come online half the time...Yes I love to play the computer. I love computers, so if you say it's sad then you are saying that most internet users are like computer geeks... RE: [split] spending too much time online by WDZ on 09-18-2004 at 03:01 AM
quote:That would be me. I only spend like 6 hours per day online though... I get bored after a few hours online and need to go do something else and kinda clear my mind... Unless I'm actually having fun and keeping occupied... then I can stay in front of the PC for 12 hours straight... That's rare though. Most of the time I don't have dinner with my family. They don't seem to mind. I have far better and important things to attend to . RE: [split] spending too much time online by RebelSean on 09-18-2004 at 04:41 AM
Yall are saying I am like "different" cause I spend alot of my time online? And that I sometimes dont eat with my family? Well then you must be calling over 300+ kids different in just my school cause they do the same thing I do... quote: that was un-freakin called for...Just cause I am online alot don't mean anything....I dont care if it was a joke or not, still not called for... RE: [split] spending too much time online by KeyStorm on 09-18-2004 at 08:39 AM
quote: Yeah, I read the, but as I knew they would be directly removed I ignored them (so I thought you did, too). Why do I think so? Guillaume's post was just one line and your reply was like 3 lines, so I thought you meant that for everyone complaining for MSIE. Now to the Well, dear Sean, Computer addiction is a bad thing... It restricts your social live because you don't meet your friends, you chat with them. quote:Maybe quote:Well, it's one of the basic causes of computer addiction. The next step is that you need to get online at least a bit every day. Your mail, as long as it's not serious (like for work, expecting mail from family overseas) doesn't count. And if you don't work with that (if you were willing to work with the comp in te future you would've learnt some coding already). To my quote again, it was not a joke, but it wasn't meant seriously enough. It's just a way to warn you that internet/computer addiction is one serious illness. When does it become serious? When you put being online in front of other relevant things like real social contact with your friends and family, reading, having a gf (or whatever you want to call it) and so on. Things that are an important part in your mental development. Not saying you're dumb, but it may cause you some social troubles. This just about the illness, I can't say if you suffer it or not, but it could be that, if you try to spend as many hours as possible online, you could be a patient. That's all about it. quote:Thats a fair point. I have this dumbass rule, the one thing i put to the back of the list when being busy is sleep. I have been known to do 48hrs working/partying/socializing () without actually sleeping. Not good I know, but I think its sometimes a total waste. RE: [split] spending too much time online by KeyStorm on 09-18-2004 at 06:32 PM Well, but you don't work/party/socialize every day. Some sit at the computes 20 hours every day, that's to worry about RE: [split] spending too much time online by Johnny_Mac on 09-18-2004 at 06:36 PM
quote:Spending 20hrs a day partying/working/socializing or 20hrs a day sitting at a computer. The 2 are so opposite they're nearly as bad as each other... quote:My advice, dont give advice. RE: [split] spending too much time online by RebelSean on 09-18-2004 at 07:33 PM
quote:That is not me. As I said some days I spend like 13 hours NOT STRIGHT btw, on the computer, and some days I get on for 10 min... I do have a social life...But not one were I think the world revolves around me..... RE: [split] spending too much time online by KeyStorm on 09-19-2004 at 01:22 PM
