Is there anybody here who know how can I develop something like Messenger Plus!?
I've few more questions
1) is there any different between developing for windows messenger and MSN messenger?
2) where do I start?
3) can I develop in VB.net?
4) what can /can't I develop? is there any limit?
5) is it legal?let's say I'll develop something amazing and I'll sell it to million customers , will microsoft sue me?

1) Yes, quite a lot. There is a page on the MSN website that describes the differences
2) Start with an idea, then take it from there
3) Yes you can, though you may want to consider C++ as you can do more in that
4) You can develop anything that doesn't break the law
5) MS haven't sued Patchou yet, so yes it is legal

Still, it's not illegal. It'd only be illegal if MS owned the code for the addon you want to do.
