When you put a Personalised Status on why does it change after ten min? I mean I have it set to automatically change after ten minutes. But Why would it do this if you have a personalised status on?

Is there somthing wrong with my plus? or is this not a feature?

If it's not a feature it should be implemented in the next Plus!

If you're using Messenger's Auto-Away feature, then there's nothing wrong.
If you're using Plus's feature, you may have found a bug.

without some more detailed description, we can only guess...

But my guess would also be, like raceprouk already partially said,

• In Messenger:
  Tools > Options > Personal > My Status > Show me as "Away" when I'm inactive for x minutes"
  
  Tools > Options > Personal > My Status > Show me as "Busy" and block my alerts when I'm running a full screen-application"
  
  
• In Plus:
  Plus > Preferences > General Options > Miscellaneous > "Automatically change status after period of inactivity"

I have the Messenger Option "Change Me to away after a period of no activity" turned off. I was not running a full screen app.

The plus option is turned on, and when I had An Away Message set. But when Plus Turned my status to "Appear Offline" when I came back The auto status was off, but the status was set back to away.

Plus shouldn't be turning our status to appear offline after some time if we have an auto message on.

i think he means that when you use the Messenger Plus! "Automatically change status after period of inactivity" it even changes you to the status you choose it to change to after inactivity, even if you're already on away or any personlized status, it shouldnt do this. i dont know if it's a bug but it's annoying the "Automatically change status after period of inactivity" should only take affect when you're status is on "Online"

(i hope someone (at least Patchou) knows what i mean)

but then if you're going away for a couple of hours and you leave an auto message for example, but then after 10 mins or so the inactive thing turns on and puts you on your inactive status, so then your auto message and everything is gone

the msn messenger auto away thingy doesnt put you on "away" after 15 mins or so if you're already on "busy" or something.. i dont think the msn plus! auto away thing should do that either, or atleast i think you should be able to choose if you want it to do that or not

but that means you have to go and change the inactive status every time that you'll be away for more than x minutes

i think there should at least be an option to choose if you want it to change your status to inactive if you're already on away or not

If you set a personal status and have Plus! change your status do to inactivity then your status changes because you are inactive. Now when you move your mouse Plus! just restores your previous status, not Away Message or Custom Status. Not sure if it is a bug but so far that is the way its coded. Patchou may change it once he sees this.
