hello
i have a special installation of microsoft windows 98 second edition and im having a problem...
i use the last version of msn messenger with messenger plus! in the msn messenger options screen the "show me as "away" when i'm inactive for" option is gray i can't change it!!! the big problem is that i can't change of the options! it will always say that i have to change that option to five or more minutes!
what can i do?
i found a solution that was clicking in one of the msn messenger notify windows when contacts sign in and it would let me change the options and save them! the problem now is that i disabled the notifications and now i can't do it again!!! can i reset all options?
i did already remove and re-install everything...

not sure if this is going to work, so you best wait for another person to confirm this before you do anything.
Goto Start > Run
type 'regedit' (without the quotes)
On the tree view browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger\PerPassportSettings
and delete everything there.
Now when you sign on, all your settings should be reset.
Like I said, wait for someone to confirm this.
