recently, each time I sign into msn messnger 6.2, it stops responding, what I have to do is end the process for messenger plus. RE: Sign In Errors by MessEnGer on 09-29-2004 at 05:15 AM
Have you installed any plug-ins lately ?? RE: Sign In Errors by RiCoCheT on 09-29-2004 at 05:21 AM
quote: Nope, just using all the same plug-ins I prev used, which all worked... RE: Sign In Errors by MessEnGer on 09-29-2004 at 05:39 AM
Can you try removing the plug-ins and try only with plus!?? RE: Sign In Errors by RiCoCheT on 09-29-2004 at 02:32 PM
may sound like a silly question, how do i get to disable the plug ins when I cant get plus+messnger to work together? Just stops responding. RE: Sign In Errors by Millenium_edition on 09-29-2004 at 03:04 PM

rename your messenger plus! plugin folder (while messenger and Plus! isn't running!!!) to "...\something". In that way Plus! will not find any plugins and thus no plugins will be loaded.... Now try to start Plus! and Messenger again. See if it works now.... RE: Sign In Errors by RiCoCheT on 09-29-2004 at 04:59 PM
CookieRevised.. That signed in with no probs... now i gotta find out which plugin is causing me issues..or just use none at all.. RE: Sign In Errors by Patchou on 09-29-2004 at 05:51 PM Note: you just have to disable the plugin option and restart Messenger if you don't want any plugin to be loaded.. renaming the directory is a little bit over kill and it wouldn't prevent some vb plugins to load RE: Sign In Errors by CookieRevised on 09-29-2004 at 05:57 PM
quote:When he tried to sign in in his account, Messenger stopped responding. So he couldn't access the per-user preferences to disable that option... (I could've given him a registry key to alter, but hey.... ) about the VB-plugins... yeah... didn't think of that... well at least he can sign in again... |
