can somebody tell me how to setup my computer to run a website?
meaning every single file will be on my computer.
if this helps, i have Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 1

Are you planning to run *.php,*.html, files also? or only a FTP server which has images, files, etc...?

Easy PHP.
download it and install it
it installs Apache, PHP, phpMyAdmin, MYSQL and its a whole lot easier than installing them all manually

It looks like somebody hacked it or something... the Google cache for easyphp.org shows a normal page

so, i downloaded the ile from the link, now how do i setup my pc to run my website?

I suggest using SWAMP, even though some of the things it comes with are out-of-date.
