Make sure you have the correct polygamy patch for the version of MSN you using. RE: Polygamy Trouble- Read within by Vazza on 10-03-2004 at 09:26 PM it te Universal Patch that is suppose to work with version 5.X and 6.X. What I can't understand is why it would work and then wouldn't RE: Polygamy Trouble- Read within by CookieRevised on 10-03-2004 at 09:36 PM
quote:What do you mean by that? Did you patch Windows Messenger? Are you trying to run that too (in which case: Is Plus! running at that moment?)? RE: Polygamy Trouble- Read within by Vazza on 10-03-2004 at 09:51 PM No, I patched MSN messenger and yes plus! is running (the only thing that runs at start up if you understand what I mean). The funny thing is that after I did a restart that MSN and windows messengers both want to play. I guess I not gonna win with the laptop....... Why not just run 2 MSN Messengers? I know its really annoying when windows messanger starts same time... There is a way to remove windows messenger tho. RE: Polygamy Trouble- Read within by Vazza on 10-03-2004 at 10:18 PM
that was I was trying to do, but thepolygamy patch that I had/have on was causing the program to freeze or in some cases, opening the window and then when I moved the cursor over it, it dissappeared. RE: Polygamy Trouble- Read within by Frosty on 10-03-2004 at 10:25 PM
well removing it would it from starting on startup lol RE: Polygamy Trouble- Read within by CookieRevised on 10-04-2004 at 12:38 AM
quote:That's a bad way... Vazza is right when she said that MSN Messenger (and other programs like Outlook and even plugins from Plus!) depend on Windows Messenger's API's to function properly... see CookieRevised's reply to I am about to rip my hair out over MS Messanger Vazza, I don't know what the problem could be other then that you used a bad patch... Well all seems to working at the moment (finger crossed) although I am only on the 2nd restart since patching.
