You need to be more specific on your question. What hotkey are you refering to? What do you want it to do? And please post this in the right place next time

Do you mean the Boss Protection? (I just thought of that because its default changing status is to busy) 
I really dont know what he means by hotkey, unless he doesnt even mean key and means a shortcut, like /busy.

Well, you go to Plus (top of your contact window) > Preferences> Privacy Protection> Boss Protection. Click where your old short but was, and hit the keys you want as your new short cut to get there.

under plus!, preferences, personalised status, status presets
for each personalised status, you can also have a shortcut key for each
where it says "fast-activation shortcut" you can add your own shortcut there for each of you personalised status
