Many people have downloaded display picture packs which can show your mood, or activity, or just any DP at all.  I was wondering if it would be possible to have Messenger allow you to choose which display picture to automatically change to when you enter a personalized status (example my status is set to "Work" and my display picture will change to one which I have linked to "Work").  Basically, just allow people to select custom display pictures to have Messenger automatically switch to when entering a personalized status, and it will change back to my last used picture when I exit that personalized status.

Thoughts ?

You could also take a look at Display Picture Changer, Display Pic Status Changer or try the mood changer plug-in (by DJMystic).
