Ok i used the stuff plug, but it doesn't seem to be working, yes i've enabled it and i click the no do not keep original size but when i ask my contacts they say it hasn't worked so i'm wondering if anyone knows of other programs that allow over-sized display pics?

You actually need to click Yes when asked if you want to keep the original size 
Is that the mistake you are making?

No I don't want to have the default size that messenger resizes it too... I want to have it bigger than 96x96 pixels...

Yes I know, so you have to click yes to keep the original size or else Messenger will resize it.
The original size is what the picture actually is, for example 150x100 or whatever
