Hi guy's ! Long time no see RE: Block a contact. by Anubis on 10-25-2004 at 05:57 PM
If the contact has been blocked and deleted and you've blocked "all others" the contact can't keep sending a request to be added to his contact list, it just won't work...the only way he can be talked to is if a contact is added to a chat with someone else...Unless that contact keeps making a new account to send the request... quote:No, MSN doesn't work anything like that RE: Block a contact. by Replicarter on 10-25-2004 at 06:12 PM well, actualy, iv blocked people before, and theyv been able to talk to me still. RE: Block a contact. by Eagle on 10-25-2004 at 06:16 PM
Yep that's what he told me, that the contact keep's sending request to be added to he's list. RE: Block a contact. by CookieRevised on 10-25-2004 at 06:47 PM
quote:That's because he has just deleted him... You shouldn't do that if you want to block a contact. If he truely has blocked the contact, then there is no way that the contact can contact him again... Just "block" and enabling "only allow people on my allowlist to see my status", nothing more... If you just delete a contact then there is no block and if the contact deletes you from his list then there is no trace anymore in the database of the connection between the both of you, and thus the contact can request to be added again, like nothing has happend. RE: Block a contact. by um............... on 10-26-2004 at 08:02 AM there as check box "i also want to block this person" that way they can't do anything RE: Block a contact. by CookieRevised on 10-26-2004 at 10:16 AM
Yes, but that wont delete the contact from your contactlist (read: allowlist/blocklist combination). RE: Block a contact. by um............... on 10-26-2004 at 10:51 AM well i don't show up on ur contacts (doesn't interract wit ur 150 limit) RE: Block a contact. by CookieRevised on 10-26-2004 at 06:40 PM
quote:true, but that wasn't the point/problem RE: Block a contact. by um............... on 10-27-2004 at 10:31 AM
well it is sort of RE: Block a contact. by Eagle on 10-27-2004 at 02:34 PM
Well for me i'v deleted theme because the contacts dident come back to hunt me lolllllll. but in the case of my friend i told him not to delete the contact, to juste block it and if there's juste one contact that you keep block in the list it's not to bad 1 in 150, it's a good compromise. |
