Patchou, what about a command that changes the custom name of a contact from the conversation window? 
For example:
/customname <Name>

yeah, thats a pretty good idea. maybe more parameters in case you're in a multiple convo, like /custom <email of contact> <new name> or something.

Its a good idea, it could be done in a plugin though, rather than Patchou doing it, if Patchou wants to add it, then it'll be great...

Nah, I'd just disable it for multiple convos... No need to do that in multiple convos, it's easier in that case to open the preferences panel and change it there

as many of my contacts know i rename them by their real name (or forum name)
eg
Bob smith
[Cky] - bob
[Msgplus] - Bob
so i would love to just type
/customname Bob Smith

Great , I'm glad you all like the idea. Now it's up to Patchou to decide if he'll make this command .
