I like to run Ad-aware, spyware and reg cleaning programs on a regular basis, my pc has been running smooth since I got it. That was almost 2 years ago, and its still faster and better than some of my mates that they have got recently, cause theres is packed with adware, spyware and other unecessary things, run these cleaners frequently, trust me, you'll see a definite change..
