All computers in my house are connected to a router (->LAN?). RE: Transfering files by _Humphreys on 11-24-2004 at 08:20 AM Yes you can! All you have to do is put the files into the shared folder and share the folder with the other computers (if you don't have one make a folder and share it by right clicking it and looking at properties.) Then you can copy that file onto different folders on the the oher pc/s. RE: Transfering files by uberdosis on 11-24-2004 at 10:19 AM
Your not going to send through msn are you. please tell me your not . quote:or an easier way just right click on the folder > Sharing and security. If you are running XP pro i would recommend that you take off simple file sharing. To do this go to any folder then Tools > Folder Options > the "View" tab > Use simple file sharing (its right down the buttom), untick it then "apply to all folders" > apply, then OK. Also if you are moving the files from one pc to another you will have to change the permissions on it ( im retty sure), which is in the "Sharing" tab.
