today as i installed messenger discovery 2.6.2 on a newly sp2 windows, RE: bust those adware installers by user27089 on 12-01-2004 at 05:50 PM the ce dp stealer has bundled adware in it which isn't optional, but I haven't heard about Messenger Discovery Having it.. For this, I'm sure that using a spyware/adware removal program should do the trick, but try uninstalling both of the programs first. luckily, i dont have 180 search assistant installed, cuz i dont use RE: bust those adware installers by CookieRevised on 12-01-2004 at 06:17 PM in "Emoinstallers As "Unwanted Programs"" I posted: quote:To have a CE/DP stealer (from sherv) without adware, take a look at: "CookieRevised's reply to Non-Spyware CE/DP stealer/exporter" Also, to uninstall 180searchassistent you don't need those anti adware/spyware programs at all. Simply uninstall the assistant from add/remove programs (again, this is the normal logic way of uninstalling a program). quote:not without searching one. I don't have link here for one. But I'm sure they exist. Try searching http://www.mess.be/ or http://www.scito.nl/ RE: bust those adware installers by eckocomplex on 12-02-2004 at 03:22 AM I appologise for the adware thing, it was only a trial and we will be removing it soon. RE: bust those adware installers by zaidgs on 12-03-2004 at 02:50 AM
quote:thats fishy, on ur site u explicity claim that u got no adware stuff! "trial" ::veryfishy:: RE: bust those adware installers by eckocomplex on 12-03-2004 at 04:45 AM That's true. MessengerDiscovery never used to have the adware thing and there was no point in changing the whole site just for a 24 hour trial. Now however MessengerDiscovery includes an optional sponsor so certian texts have been changed . |
