Too long have i waited for a good yahoo pop3 email checker integrated with MSN.
Too long have i waited for the errors to stop.
Too long have i seen this "1 new email message" AHHH!

Now... i think the YAHOO(.ca) limitations need to be adjusted and worked on.  I use it alot, for transactions and such...  I disable the pop3 email checker and it says "0 new email messages"  i enable it, and it comes back saying 1 new message.  Now i deleted every single email in my yahoo account.  No email is unread, or even in there.  inbox, folders all CLEAR.  i dont have any unread emails in my hotmail... and only use MSGPLUS pop3 for yahoo.  no other account is entered.

and yet... this message remains.. and it just wont stop!


Patchou... please help me on this one!  Canadian to Canadian.. lol

This has probably nothing todo with Plus! directly.
Check you registry...

First check:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\your@mail\MessageCount
Make sure that the value of MessageCount is 0.

Then make sure that the following Plus! keys also have value 0:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\your@email.com\Preferences\POPAddHotmail
(If false (0), the count of unread emails in your Hotmail account is not added to the count of unread pop3 emails.)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\your@email.com\Preferences\UpdateWindowsEmailCount
(If false (0), the count of unread emails in your POP3 accounts is not displayed in the welcome screen of Windows XP.)

well the first one SHOULD do the job... but it doesn't..

it was at 1... so i changed it to 0.  but i have not restarted MSN since i changed it.  i will do so later on, im busy talking atm

wow? really? can i have email notifications of my yahoo mail inbox? how? (i didn't manage to set it up correctly)

Could it be that Yahoo has coded similar as Gmail (sent box coded as inbox) causing Plus! to count the sent e-mails aswell?

I don't use Yahoo mail so i can't test it for you.

well, after looking at the help menu of all that yahoo mail system, i found out that only the premium members can have pop3 accessibility.. so it won't work..
