Hey ppl, RE: Sign-in flood prevention by thc2010 on 12-08-2004 at 01:23 PM what the do is they probly block and unblock you.. the solution to preventing that tost Effect is by blocking them. RE: Sign-in flood prevention by v1nce on 12-09-2004 at 09:42 AM Perhaps Patchou could add a feature where you can limit how many notifications appear on your screen at once. Trillian 3 has this feature and it's very handy. RE: Sign-in flood prevention by Cammo on 12-13-2004 at 09:36 AM
nah i know they're doing it to all their contacts... just one of those annoyances that would be good to be rid of. RE: Sign-in flood prevention by SlimShady on 12-13-2004 at 03:00 PM
quote:Exactly. I agree. There shoudl be an option that limits the number of "toasts". RE: Sign-in flood prevention by Millenium_edition on 12-13-2004 at 03:31 PM The limit is already set to 5 popups on screen... RE: Sign-in flood prevention by SlimShady on 12-13-2004 at 06:36 PM
We should be able to set the limit. RE: Sign-in flood prevention by Jimcando on 12-16-2004 at 08:48 PM 5 pop-ups on the screen is still enough to fill the whole screen. and then even when they disappear, most of the time more will come. we should be able to set 2/3 in a 10 second period or something like that. RE: Sign-in flood prevention by frankiedaman on 12-16-2004 at 11:14 PM wouldn't changing the popup limit modify the MSN main code/protocol? RE: Sign-in flood prevention by ddunk on 12-16-2004 at 11:24 PM
quote: Nope, it's dependant upon your screen resolution. I'm running 1920*1440 and I get 11 popups when someone blocks and unblocks me multiple times RE: Sign-in flood prevention by Millenium_edition on 12-17-2004 at 09:52 PM
quote:that's cause you don't have a normal resolution ¬_¬ RE: Sign-in flood prevention by Chestah on 12-17-2004 at 09:54 PM
quote:lol, what defines the normal ME RE: Sign-in flood prevention by kangie on 12-17-2004 at 10:26 PM sometimes when i sign in, it shows all my contacts signing in at the same time.... how would the thing choose who to show? RE: Sign-in flood prevention by Cammo on 12-23-2004 at 01:52 PM
I'd limit it to 1 per person.. that way you don't miss out on what other people are doing. RE: Sign-in flood prevention by FrozernFire on 12-24-2004 at 07:46 AM the little "X" is there for a reason. to me, those popups are nothing as they don't disturb me too much. if i need to click something underneath, i just close the popup. remember that once your popups fill the screen, newer popups will not be showed untill the first few disappears. i would rather have the time the popups are shown on the screen shortened RE: Sign-in flood prevention by Sully on 12-24-2004 at 01:46 PM
This is a must have feature! I really hate it when I get floods of popups informing me that "Jimmy - Im In LoVE!!!!" has just signed in x10 times. One notification will do, not 5 times in one bloody second. It really does my head in, and for people with big contact lists - god help you! |
