Okay so help, please!

I had MSN 6.2 but my friend showed me a site to download 7 from. I downloaded it but it wont work and it wouldn't allow me to sign in to 6.2 either! Now I've somehow deleted 6.2 and have had to create a new address to use the old Windows Messenger!

So how do I get MSN 6.2/7 to work (/again)?

When I try to install it..it says:

"Installer Information

An error occured during the instalation of assembly
component

{loads of number}"

Then I click okay..and it says it was not installed, and

"MSN Messenger setup has failed with error code '1603'."

I live on msn.

This is so hard!

Please have any of you any suggestions?

First of all redownload MSN messenger 6.2 and try installing it on an account with "adminpriviledges" (to be sure you got the right one reboot into safemode and choose the account called "administrator"). If that doesn't work try the following:

1) Click Start > Run
2) Type msiexec /unreg and press enter and wait until it appears to have finished.
3) Go back to Start > Run
4) Type msiexec /regserver and press enter.
5) Try to install MSN Messenger 6 again.
