My game crashed and i had to hit the power switch and reboot (bad shutdown)
When starting bk up again there was no scan disk check its never done the check when the computers Not been turned off right
does win xp do it in the background hidden when starting up?

It shouldn't scandisk just because it didn't shutdown correctly.
It only did that in 98.

You can scan disk if you think your harddrive is not functioning correctly or at intervals

there is a thing called disk check (dskchk) that u can tell to run on startup before windows starts that does the same thing afaik

Ok thanks i just though it was a bit odd it never done it when it didn't shutdown right
