I've never been a big user of multi-line nicknames. But recently, I started using a two lines nickname. However, every time I restart messenger, the nick turns back into one line. It works fine without restarting. Im using messenger 7.0.0425 beta. comments?

this has nowt really to do with this forum !!! your problem is with the mess patch, but if u wnat to do it your self then the detila su need can be found here http://www.messenger-skins.net/showthread.php?tid=597

Yeah, that happens to me also....i dunno wats up with that.

first of all, this is in the right forum. It has nothing to do with the mess patch. All the mess patch does is that it allows you to type in a multi-line nick name without the use of msgPlus' command "/nick". And I do have the mess patch, but that's not the point.

The problem is that when I change my nick to a multi-line one (say by using /nick), the multi-line nick shows up fine in conversations. However, when I restart messenger, my nickname is turned into a single line. I'm not sure what's causing this. It may be a change in the MSN protocol or the new MSN7 client itself.

So, Skin Ticket is getting this problem too. Are you using MSN messenger 7?

Anone else experiencing this problem?

MSN disabled multiline nicks a while ago. You'll have to reset it everytime you restart MSN. Theres nothing you can do about it.

MessengerDiscovery fixes MSN's "block". You can use multi-line nicknames be adding \n (C++ style ) where ever you want a new line. When you sign back in your nickname should still include the new line .

thats not really a fix, thats more of a just "Reset Automatically on Signin" type of thing.
