Removing the state by -=[Érico]=- on 12-16-2004 at 09:55 PM
Hi,
My name is Érico, I'm new here, and I hope to be well received by all here.
I'm using the MSN Messenger 7.0 and Messenger Plus 3.40. I like so so so much... Congralulations to the creators.
but has a thing in the list of contacts that I don't like.
Each contact has between parentheses the state that he meets ('(online), (offline), (away)...'), and I don't want that, because the icon of the messenger already display the state.
Is it possible?
Thanks for help and so sorry for my terrible english.

hi erico
unfortunately, you cant get rid of the brackets at the end of a contact name in the MSN Beta.
you could try changing your contact sort to Online/Offline. this only shows brackets infront of people who are online, anyone who is offline does not have a bracket after their name.

On messenger 7 it shows the same icon for "Brb", "Away", "Out to lunch"
And the same icon for "Busy", and "On the phone
Quoteing some one with a ] in there name messes the quote up

You are wrong, all of the users have a bracket after the name, until the offline.

But I only want to remove among the bracket in my list of contacts, see that when you pass the mouse on the name, appears between parentheses also.
And I don't care of not knowing the user's details, if he is "Away" or "Busy" or "out of lunch".
