Hey all, I was wondering how all the authors on Wincustomize.com can make boot skins, i have WinCustomize BootSkin program i just want to make one. Can n e 1 help? RE: Boot Skin ...:) by Choli on 12-31-2004 at 12:52 AM
well, i've never used that program, but if you download a skin (for example this: http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=2102&LibID=32 ) you'll see that you download a *.bootskin file. Rename it to *.zip and see what it contents. It has 3 files: two bmp and one ini. If you look the images and read the ini file, you'll quick notice how to do skins RE: Boot Skin ...:) by Purity on 12-31-2004 at 01:23 AM
Thanx very much for the info. RE: Boot Skin ...:) by Titty on 12-31-2004 at 05:15 AM
http://www.themexp.org/how_install.php quote: Hah, anyway. If you've already got it working, theres more boot screens to chose from on the site. RE: Boot Skin ...:) by Purity on 12-31-2004 at 05:28 AM ok thanx tiity RE: Boot Skin ...:) by Guido on 12-31-2004 at 05:36 AM Stick to Stardock's Bootskin if you can, DO NOT replace the .exe manually. Using Bootskin shouldn't cause any problem, changing the files manually can **** up your bootup (it's not hard to solve if you backup, but hey, don't try to ) RE: Boot Skin ...:) by Purity on 12-31-2004 at 06:30 AM kk, thanx.
