hello people.. ive searched on !plus settings but didnt found anything..
it seems that when iim on a custom status. away or busy, the emoticons on my nick show up as theyre shortcut like ( L ) ( & ) .. it really sox.. lol.. because i set away to go to sleep, but i would like that people  can still see the emoticons on my nick instead of ( ) and stuff.. or while im busy but talking and stuff.. its pretty stupid in my opinion .. is there a way to fix it? thanks in advance

it will be better if you tell us more.. like the msn messenger version you are using!
try updating it by going to the official site of msn messenger; maybe your msn messenger is alil corrupt, someting similar happened to me before

The name you were seeing, was it in you contact list or was it in the Normal Section where your name is located?

If it was in the contact list (like you added yourself) and if you have custom names showing then that would be why. It is a limitation of the Custom Names feature to not show emoticons in names on the contact list and in coversations.

ok i didnt explain very well..

My first screen is alright.. im Online etc..

but on the second screen when i sat my state to Away and then the "Personalised state" of Msg Plus pops up and you set a "Name tag for new status".. and then go chat with someone, the emoticons wont display. only theyre shortcuts.. try it to see if im right.
It also happens to my friend.. can anyone test this to see if its just us?

What i also noticed was: that if you dont set a new NAME TAG for new status when you choose away and the Personalised status pops up, if you dont set any new name tag it will show the emoticons but if you add some tag like "Shower" it wont show the emoticons!
Im using Msn7 latest with Plus compatible version.. but my friend also has 6.2 and it happens the same..
