my friend has recently been having some problems with her contact list.
She goes to delete the person, then blocks.
The next time she logs on, the person is back on her list, and not blocked.
She has changed her password, deleted this contact lots of times, etc.
Im wondering if someone could give me an idea of what might be causing it.

I also told her to do a virus scan, and it found 30 some odd virus, i dont know if the problem is still there, but i have never heard of a virus that re-adds contacts that have been deleted.

Any thoughts?

Does your friend use a Hotmail account?

Did she add that "blocked" person into a group in her Hotmail contact groups?

naa, she uses a none hotmail/msn account

shes also done the, block then delete and block again when it asks if you want to block the contact as well
shes also just deleted, then clicked the check box to block the person.

yeah! i had some similar problems too- i blocked one of my contacts a few months ago, then i unblock him. however, everytime i log on to msn messenger, that contact is still "blocked".. i tried a few times but it still happens

I had the same problem, but with a hotmail account.

It seems that the groups saved in Hotmail clash with the ones in your MSN Messenger account.

But for those who don't use Hotmail... :\ I dunno, weird. As Cookie told me once, the changes should be on the server... Nothing like that is saved on your computer...
