can ne1 help me?
i have bin usin msn for over a year now but all of a sudden it decides not to log me in.  my password and usernames are correct cos i can still enter hotmail for my emails.  when i try to log in it comes up with 'we are haveing trouble connecting you to the messenger service'.  i have tried removing the program and installing it again. i have tried all the msn versions available but none work.
dus ne1 no wat i can do to sort it out?

you could try switchin msn server use this program - http://shoutbox.menthix.net/attachment.php?pid=273157 and then u should be able to log in

cheers for that but i dont have winzip to open the file, is there nethin else i can open it with?

winzip is built into windows !?!?! if its any help i will put it into a .rar file

well when i clicked on the link and it downloaded its askin me wat i wanna open it with and winzip aint there
am a bit of a dunce when it comes to computers lol

i have no idea cos i dunno wat a rar file is. i really dunno computers that well lol

you dont need winzip it will take the files out itself and put it in c:/ or wherever your decide

A rar file is anouther type of compression, like zip.
A self extracting zip is just a file you run that automaticaly unzips with out you needing to use winzip or a similar program,

ok kewl, have dowloaded that zip one and it came up wit a window for me to choose servers but which do i chose?

you just need to chose a different one, it doesn't matter which !!

nope it still dont like it, have tried  bout 25  them and then tried signing in and it still dont work

have u install any programs on your computer lately ??? like a firewall ??? if so u will need to config to allow msn access to the internet

the only things i have installed are an upgrade for internet explorer which i have now deleated and firefox. but i deleated the new one today and installed firefox 2day aswell.

Did you try [this]? It's a post from Sunshine, replying to someone who seems to have the same problem as you.

For the record, people could've helped you much faster if you stated the complete errormessage you had (including the errornumber).

And to the others: switching servers is rarely going to help...
