its not loaded in messenger, you need the MsgPlus.exe process running in order to use Messenger Plus!

as for closing it, there is not much point, when not being used it takes up around 256kb of memory.

To close plus you'll need to close messenger and reload it again.  This means signing back in as well.  Is there a spedific reason you want to do this so perhaps we can sugguest a better method?

If you don't want to have msgplus.exe running constantly when you don't need it, you can use a plugin I made called AppLoader.
It can run Plus and Messenger at once and then close Plus automatically when you exit Messenger.

there is a "msn messenger/windows messenger + plus" loader by hah, it also close plus process after hooking but it's still in beta
