Hello i have a question, RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by user27089 on 01-25-2005 at 02:22 PM
I don't think so, because it will be solid to do without patchou adding a feature such as "choose the filename for msn messenger" and that will create problems and may cause certain errors.... RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by VicSmurf on 01-25-2005 at 02:35 PM
Maybe it could be a command line option like: RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by Eljay on 01-25-2005 at 02:53 PM why do u run it under a different name in the first place? RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by toddy on 01-25-2005 at 03:00 PM
can i ask why you run messenger under the name "msnmsgr_org.exe" ??? RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by -dt- on 01-25-2005 at 03:01 PM
quote:so when things runs msnmsgr.exe it runs an autoit script and loads stuff then loads the normal msnmsgr named msnmsgr_org.exe hmm i thought this was in plus is you used a different name but the process called msnmsgr.exe might trick plus and it wont detect the other messenger RE: RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by VicSmurf on 01-25-2005 at 03:04 PM
quote: Because I start MSN Messenger under another user account with fever rights (no admin rights). In that way it's not possible to open/install programs i receive from msn messenger. It's not for me but more for my dad he srews everything up all the time What my program does is (for example) : BrowseSafe.exe "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr_org.exe". This line of code is part of my AutoIt script (compiled as exe) named: msnmsgr.exe Thats why RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by Eljay on 01-25-2005 at 03:10 PM
right i understand now RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by toddy on 01-25-2005 at 03:11 PM
quote: surely its just alot easier not to open them (or not acept them in first place) ?? then to go to all that hassle?? RE: RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by VicSmurf on 01-25-2005 at 03:24 PM
quote: Well I only wanted to know if it is possible and not if it is a hassle or not I love the hassle There a lot of users that exept everything thye see on screen. It's not for me but for more "inexperienced" users I have some friends an collegues with that kind of problem so if i make it ones..they can install it and it is a little saver RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by matty on 01-25-2005 at 06:14 PM
quote: Bad thought but you could Password protect the Plus! preferences from your Dad and Auto Decline any file transfers for his account HAHAHA!!! RE: msnmsgr.exe run as msnmsgr_org.exe by Patchou on 01-26-2005 at 04:22 AM
Messenger Plus! uses the filename of Messenger as it appears in the registry. I guess you could bypass this version problem by setting the same version string in the resources of your software as it appears in Messenger . |
