I'm using messenger 7 beta (build 0425) and Messenger Plus! 3.40.112 beta. A friend of mine was using the handwriting feature and I wanted to use it myself, so I went and got the plugin, and the InkRedist files, but when I go to enable the handwriting I get a message saying "something went wrong while trying to initialize the handwriting plugin" and I cant figure out whats wrong. I was thinking maybe this was a version incompatability but my friend is using the same version of MSN and MsgPlus, so that cant be it, funny thing, he tells me that the "plugin" button under Plus! in his conversation window is greyed out. And he has been sending me multiple handwritten messages and we cant figure it out. I did install the plugin itself with the installer first, but I uninstalled it before I installed the Ink files later. Then I re=installed the enabler again. Can someone help me? Thanks

i always thought that people using msg7 didn't need the plugin.. they only need  "ink"

Yeah it seems that way..I downloaded InfoPenMSN but you gotta pay for it, can someone give me a link to a free download of the required Ink files, if such a thing exists? Thanks

If you use MSN 7 beta you only need ink redist, not the full plugin.
So what you do now is go to your plugins folder (C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins) and delete handwriting.dll. Also note that when you install ink redist you need to choose "for all" not "just for you" for it to work.
