Windows 2000/XP are much more stable than its predecessors, so there must be something wrong in your PC, either some dodgy program (including spyware and viruses) or dodgy device drivers... RE: computer on/off by zaidgs on 01-26-2005 at 10:11 PM
i used to use xp-sp1, currently i use sp2 RE: computer on/off by Tasha on 01-26-2005 at 10:20 PM
I'd say leaving it one all the time is a bad idea. It will get very hot (in the summer) and anything can happen to it while you are sleeping. Say there is a power cut or something. :/ I'd just turn it off when you go to bed. RE: computer on/off by lopardo on 01-27-2005 at 12:44 AM
quote:It could be a hardware problem too. Disable autorestart, right click My PC > Properties > Advanced options > Startup and recovery > Configuration button > uncheck Restart automatically. Open a new thread if you need more help. RE: computer on/off by zaidgs on 01-27-2005 at 04:42 AM if i do that, a blue screen shows up, asking me to restart manually!!! thats not a solution!!! but u know, maing a new thread might not be a bad idea! RE: computer on/off by lopardo on 01-27-2005 at 08:08 AM
quote:Exactly, the blue screen gives information about the crash. So next time you have one, write down the error type, STOP number and the parameters, i.e. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, STOP 0x0000000A, (0x00000065, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804FAC65). Make a new thread, or maybe a mod could split this one? RE: computer on/off by zaidgs on 01-27-2005 at 08:43 AM
quote:i never thought anyone would make use of such info!! anyways i will make a thread hopefully today (after i collect these info) RE: computer on/off by kao on 01-27-2005 at 10:48 AM sounds like you need a format zaidgs ;p RE: [split] zaidgs' computer problem by zaidgs on 01-28-2005 at 02:35 AM

actually i nvr thought of using external help on internet, i did give it to technicals but they just didnt figure it out, after all there is nthn u can do to say: "see here is the problem", it just apears at random times, and it might not restart automitically for a whole dy, and it may restart like a thousand times in just one hour, so i just tried to fix it myself cuz i am the one using it most of the time not the technicals, but still in vain!! i found something, that i didnt actually know how to use, but i am sure it will help: search mircrosoft knowledge base for: "how to debug stop 0x0000000A) to find info about each error, i did read them but didnt understand what i was suposed to do, so maybe sm1 can help RE: [split] zaidgs' computer problem by Tochjo on 01-28-2005 at 12:00 PM
