First of all, some background:
Until yesterday I've been using MSN Messenger 6.2 with Messenger Plus! 3.25.106, and now I'm using MSN Messenger 7.0.045 Beta with Messenger Plus! 3.40.112 Beta.
I have installed the StuffPlug-NG 2 plug-in.

Until yesterday, I recieved correctly MSN Alerts (from Mess.be, Bink.nu, Neowin.net and Gamespot.com/pc), but since installing the new versions of MSN Messenger and Messenger Plus!, I have recieved none.
(I noticed that I do see the "pop-up" notifying a new alert, but I don't have any alerts list on my contact list (like it used to be on MSN Messenger 6.2)

I wonder if this is something common, and how can I configure my MSN Messenger to start recieving again Live MSN Alerts.

Also, currently I don't have any "tabs" on the left of my contact list (like those of "meet people" or "create a meego"). Is it possible to show only the tabs of "contact list" and the yellow bell of "MSN Alerts"?

How do I turn them on?

Well, to make it more clear, I'll post two screenshots of what was displayed in MSN Messenger 6.2 and what is displayed in 7.0.045.
Both screenshots are of the spanish version of MSN Messenger, but you can understand clearly what I mean:

MSN Messenger 6.2
As you can see there is a yellow bell (MSN Alerts). By clicking it, a list of the last recieved alerts is shown.

MSN Messenger 7.0.045
The feature shown in the previous screenshot is missing here.

That simple menu shown by clicking the yellow bell is what I want to appear in MSN Messenger 7, but I don't know if it is possible.
Is it?

That's one thing I'll be looking into for one of my projects. Stay tuned... though I warn it'll take a while.

I dont think its anything to do with having tabs disabled, i can still receive msn alerts without them

I recieve them too, but I don't have a list of the last recieved alerts. (that's what all this thread is about... Having a list of the last recieved alerts in my MSN Messenger 7, like in 6.2)

ahhhh ok, yer if i want 2 go bak and look at my notifications i havnt found away that duznt involve temporarily bringing bak tabs

Tools > Options > Tabs is the options page you're looking for.

uninstall StuffPlug-NG 2 and reinstall msn messenger.
and try it with another patch to remove the tabs

Done that, and still, there are no tabs.

I tried uninstalling completely MSN Messenger, Messenger Plus! and all the plug-ins (uninstalling and erasing completely the folders, even the folder where the avatars and emoticons are stored).

I than made a clean installation of only MSN Messenger 7.0.0425, and still, same issue.

Anyone?

when u say everything is disabled wot do u mean?
You cant click on the checkbox or you already have or its not there???

The UP and DOWN buttons are disabled (can't press them, they're grayed), and so does the list (can't press on any).

I really want to have tabs in my contact list, but can't seem to turn them on...

Anyone?

That is exactly how I have the window, except the tiny detail that I don't have that checkbox!
(Obviously, even with just the MSN Messenger running -no MsgPlus!- it's the same: no checkbox)

perhaps this has something to do with messenger7 being beta, cause i dont have that checkbox either (and therefore also no tabs, not that i care, cause i wouldnt use them anywayz)

Saddly, I already had tried this patch, but it seems to do nothing (tabs in the preferences are still blocked/grayed).

Is it just me, or MSN Messenger 7.0.0425 hates me?! :^)
