Reputation Puzzle? by Wabz on 02-27-2005 at 10:25 PM
I had a reputation of 17 this morning, and now have 15 tonight.
Now by all means I don't mind what people rate me or if they want to change there opinion as thats what the system is for.
However upon noticing that it had changed I reviewed my reputations to see who had changed there response. Yet no one has. Nothings updated and I haven't got any negative or netrual reputations to bring it this low. I don't seem to be able to find an option to repeal repuations completly either.
Is there some sort of bug, or has someone with a low post count dropped down below the min. posting limit for a rep and it automatically been removed.
(Please don't take this as a begging for extra reputation points. As thats not what I mean for)

That's why I had to vote for many people again?
RE: Reputation Puzzle? by Pr0xY on 02-27-2005 at 11:51 PM
Well does this mean I cant put "/me sexes (insert name here)" as a comment for my vote in one of my irc buddy's profiles?
RE: Reputation Puzzle? by toddy on 02-27-2005 at 11:56 PM

True... I went through all the top posters and checked the vote reasons. I deleted many votes based on the guidelines I posted. I've been meaning to do something like that for a while, but couldn't be bothered.

It seems quite spammy, doesn't it? It doesn't actually say anything about the person you're voting for.

Maybe he's saying I'm not lazy? There's nothing wrong with that vote.

RE: Reputation Puzzle? by WDZ on 02-28-2005 at 06:08 PM
wtf... none of those seem to violate the guidelines... You're just jealous.
Reputation comments don't have to be good, they just have to be something. It can be difficult to write a good comment. It's really the point (+1 or -1) that counts.

Who, me jealous of you? Nahhhh... Who'd be jealous of you? Oh wait..
Ok then, I just thought that 'He has a cool avatar' or whatever might violate they guidelines.

Ok here we go:
1- Was beated up by Santa in a boxing match this past Xmas...
2- added the emoticon
3- i dont know why everyone says your lazy?
4- Just cause he dont deserve negative but I dont want to be a suck up
5- For having that cool avatar (right after I put a Domo-kun in mine ¬_¬).
and so on...
I think sometimes you people make confusion between the way people post their opinions this means a serious or relaxed way like: This is a good admin he makes right thigns etc and You rox0r! LOL you make me laugh my ass off etc.
Different types of write but same opinion.
only because the other looks more relaxed, kidding, it doesnt mean its not valid or that breaks the rules.

Even if he is banned i think it should be shared with the others
Now in-Topic:
I also noticed some of that and i also thought it was a bug but now think its because some can give -2 and +2 (i think you can also, you are elite).

Well, I agree, so I try to be quite generous when deleting votes. There are many that I don't delete that I probably should.

Wow... sorry about that. I think you had at least 4 votes that were given before reasons were required. I deleted every "no comment" vote that I saw, and eventually I'll do a MySQL query to find all of them and delete them so it will be fair.
RE: Reputation Puzzle? by Pipish on 03-01-2005 at 05:26 AM
yea no porbs i understand i'm not going to go and say to the poeple who said no comment can you please give me it back a write a reason
