Ok.. if you set your nick to " Fred Roxors 
" it will show the emoticon in your nick! but if you are set away and u specified an auto away message, your emoticons in nick will display as shortcuts like 
and and 
instead of the actual emoticon!

On the newer version *cough cough* it doesn't do that so maybe it was a bug that was fixed 
(i just tried it on 0.0632 it stays the emoticon
