This has just started today, if I double click on a contact in my contact list, it comes up with the properties page (see below) instead of starting or switching to a conversation with the contact.

What version of Messenger are you using?

im using 7.0.0425 and i worked it out.... my Alt key was jammed
double clicking while Alt is down brings up that window
