I have no problem with it here. I have been using it since the beginning of the beta. RE: Configuring Gmail with MsgPlus! 3.50 POP3 by robochief on 03-17-2005 at 05:12 AM
And just in case anyone will ask it, yes, I have enabled POP3 in my Gmail account's options. RE: RE: RE: Configuring Gmail with MsgPlus! 3.50 POP3 by MaTrIX2k2 on 03-17-2005 at 05:33 AM

I had the same problem as OP did - it works now, and I haven't changed anything. Apparently, GMail needs a little time to process your request to enable POP. It took about 10 minutes for me (I had sent myself a new mail and didn't open it, and the "You have 1 new mail" popup appeared after a while). RE: Configuring Gmail with MsgPlus! 3.50 POP3 by robochief on 03-17-2005 at 07:11 PM Even if it now does work for me, it's useless unless it states how many unread new messages you have (at least in my case). I just try it with my gmail, auto check delay means what and it seems much lousier than gmail notifier. RE: Configuring Gmail with MsgPlus! 3.50 POP3 by Sunshine on 03-18-2005 at 03:24 PM "The server couldn't be contacted" can be due to Gmail server temporarily unreachable, don't get too alarmed about it when it happens when you click on "test", just try again later. quote:It is the interval (in minutes) when Plus! requests a total of unread mail from the accounts you've set. If new mail has arrived, Plus! will show a popup. quote:It is certainly not lousier. Messenger Plus! sticks to the POP3 protocol, but Gmail doesn't. Plus! can't do anything about that. And it would be inpractical to implement a workaround and other special things especially for each and every POP3 server which doesn't stick to the protocol... You might wanna read: "MsgPlus! 3.50 Pop3 Gmail Limitations" Gmail's notifier is especially made for Gmail, nothing more. quote:What do you mean exactly? quote:That thread was the first one, it has been replaced with "MsgPlus! 3.50 Pop3 Gmail Limitations" |
