ok i have had this since reformatting it seems to be no file there (see screenshot)
i don't see any programs that are starting up that would cause it

Is it something you deleted but didn't uninstall?

not sure i haven't installed anything really that would do that.

Oh, sometimes i get that but it's temporary when for example, MSN has crashed and the windows have shut but the MSN icon is still in the tray. Then it dissapears and a space is left until you mouseover it...
