quote: quote: How can you tell? They boys in group 1 could just have been faster boys then those in group 2? RE: Logic thingy by .Roy on 03-23-2005 at 08:36 PM i bet he shortned the question and it probobly metioned that they have all the same average speed. RE: Logic thingy by albert on 03-23-2005 at 08:40 PM
lol I dunt think you can answer.. no 1 can actully tell who's doing the job.. one guy could do it all, as well as one girl, you'd need a better specification in the question RE: Logic thingy by segosa on 03-23-2005 at 09:53 PM
It doesn't seem possible because you don't know how much each girl/boy did. If you don't know how much then you have to assume they did amount_of_pieces/amount_of_kids pieces each. It tells you nothing of how much they actually did though. RE: Logic thingy by .Roy on 03-23-2005 at 10:10 PM He Probobly divided all the peaces amongst the people evenly. But the question doesnt even say that you can do this. I think he didnt type the question correctly RE: Logic thingy by Grue on 03-23-2005 at 10:30 PM
Assuming that all the boys in both situations do the puzzle at the same speed and same with the girls then: RE: Logic thingy by .Roy on 03-23-2005 at 10:41 PM exactly what tochjo said. But you cant ASSUME in a math question.. Its eather there is no answer. Or he just copped it wrong RE: Logic thingy by gif83 on 03-23-2005 at 10:45 PM
of course you can assume in a maths question.... everyone does. RE: Logic thingy by Chrono on 03-23-2005 at 10:47 PM
