ok have you ever been blocked on msn? half the time you don't even know that you have been blocked as far as your concerned they just seem to have gone offline and not come back for a long time. my idea is this. wouldn't it be cool if when you block someone you could set a message up so when a person is blocked they get a message on their screen popup saying something like "/user has blocked you because /reason" so for example if i was to block my nephew say heres what it could say.

"[LAVA] DemonSlayer TD @ http://www.myleague.com/sdladderranks X has blocked you because "you talk too much"." wel that's just an example but you get the idea. also once you received your blocked notification that person shows up on your contact listed with a blocked icon beside them so you know that your still blocked by them.

Wasn't this suggested before?

i haven't suggested it before and i don't see any other references to it. if i am wrong then i appologise but i don't think anyone else has suggested this yet.

Block Notification is very similar (if not the same thing).

oh i see it was in plugins which is why i didnt see it i just figured all feature requested belonged here and as i was suggesting this be added to plus and not nessercerally a plugin aklthough it could be i thought it hadn't been mentioned

I personally don't think it is very practical. When you block someone you will just block them, and don't want a hastle. If you were going to give a reason it would be better to say "I'm blocking you because...".

not exactly anubis. partly because if you type out the message before blocking them they have sufficient time to give you some lip before the block is in place but with the suggested feature it would mean you block someone the message gets sent and they don't get a chance to respond. besides if it were toi appear as an error message type alert rather than standard convo text it has more of an impact normal text don't really have an impact but error message type alerts are considered by ost to be important so the impact is more meaning to the recipiant than standad text

but the recpient would need the plugin for it to work
