well you can play video files on wmp in full screen....but when i do this with both of my screens it splits the video down the middle and plays half on each screen. RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by lizard.boy on 04-06-2005 at 12:01 AM depends on your setup..the way i have it setup with my graphics card and ultramon i can maximise mediaplayer or powerdvd to one monitor and do whatever on the other. i just click the maximise button. RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by M73A on 04-06-2005 at 12:03 AM i can maximise windows...but i cant enter fullscreen mode properly RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by lizard.boy on 04-06-2005 at 01:35 AM it may be the drivers or something for your video card. i'm not sure what your problem is without looking at it. sorry. depending on your graphic card.. i dunno. but, yeah i think this happens if the video mirroring property thing of your video card is enabled... RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by Guido on 04-06-2005 at 04:17 AM
quote:I have the same behaviour, and I don't remember having to do anything to make it work like that. It's probably a driver settings thing, try playing with that. I actually want to get this effect of dual-full-screen sometimes instead of the single screen full screen. Cool for making use of both screens to achieve a pseudo wide screen effect for movies and other stuff. RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by Pyroteq on 04-06-2005 at 05:49 AM
Just dont use WMP RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by Guido on 04-06-2005 at 06:33 AM (oh, I am running Ultramon, in case that changes things) RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by CookieRevised on 04-06-2005 at 08:34 AM
quote:This is nothing to do with WMP what-so-ever..... It is the video settings that are not good for the setup he wants. Every video driver and video card combination has its own settings. And each settings has subsettings, etc... Just play around with your settings and try to set things as logic as possible (this requires knowing what each setting in your driver means!). For starters, set your video driver to dual mode, not clone mode, nor widescreen mode.... After that it depends on your video overlay settings, how thet are set up. It is possible that you view a video on monitor 1 in a small window, but automatically full screen on your second monitor. This is done by video overlaying. Of course this can be disabled or tweak as you like. Then there are so called hardware settings, highly dependable on your graphics cards and installed drivers. Some cards can do proper video overlaying in dual mode. Other can't do proper video overlaying in clone mode, etc... etc... RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by mad_onion on 04-06-2005 at 10:25 AM scone dont just say "dont use WMP" it isnt helpful at all. he obviously wants to use WMP and so wants the problem fixed not some way around that by his explanation wont even fix it. make sure you have the newest drivers for your card (what is your card by the way) and make sure one is set as secondary and not to share RE: Dual Screen view on pc and fullscreen wmp? by M73A on 04-06-2005 at 12:07 PM
