A guide of plugins/add ons/enhancements to newbie by saintgtril on 04-06-2005 at 04:07 PM

My intention of coming up with this thread is to enlighten the newbies on what are the popular,  favourite or common plugins/add ons/enhancements that are circulating around.

Let me start off with mine.

1. (plugin) Stuff plug - using the old one cos there is the open conversation notifer  http://www.stuffplug.com/
2. (enhancements) Noroom's Listmanager - to tell if your contact has deleted you off from their contact list  http://noroom.msnfanatic.com/listmanager/

That all as of now. Free free to contribute to this thread :)

Cheers to Messenger Plus :D

Phoenix by raceprouk

It is a useful plugin with many great features, my favourite are:

•    Nickname logging
•    Notifications of status change (like how plus shows when a contact has changed there name or appeared offline)
•    E-mail check (Checks your inbox for new e-mails.)

Screenshots of features below:

However, phoenix does need some new material to help itself. Generally, phoenix looks as if it is junior stuffplug (many random features) but with fewer features. The logo could do with some work, no offensive but it looks like it was done on flaming text. :S

Also when selecting options I believe it should have a better design just to make it more appealing. However, my main concern is the shortcuts to find phoenix, it drives me mad, sometimes I appear offline and to check my e-mails the phoenix way I would need to appear online, open a conversation, and enter the shortcut, making a good idea useless.

I generally like the plugin however, it needs better access to features and help with the design.. :D

Download Here

I think the features are great :P Just needs easier access to them.

Good idea.. :D... Or maybe better.. someone here on the forum who has "lots" of time could maybe do a homepage.. complete with everything... Telling about the different plugins, which are recommended, testing them, shwoing screenshots of the plugins in action.. and linking to the plugins thread in here.. That would be an amazing thing.. :D.. But also a very BIG job to do... So, I don't count on this being done.. but mayeb someone here has the time and wants to do it.. maybe a team together.. :D... Like a team that is formed to only spend their time on the plugins on this forum.. :D... But else just a pdf document describing some of the different plugins/options available and recommendations.. This would be a nice help for the "n00bs"... :P

ask me:

Well is anybody willing to take the job as the "chief" of this project?.. One that would need to collect a team, and make sure everything runs ok?... I would, but don't have time, and can't be bothered right now.. :S...
