I make Trance, Techno, Dance, Happy Hardcore basically electronica music.
I was just wondering if any one else here that produces their own songs.

Well yeah, I write my own songs and then I write all of the other music to go with the song, drum beat... rhythm guitar, bass. lead guitar... any possible violin
...but the whole violin thing i've just started and it confuses me somewhat.

I tried my hand at mixing music ..... i could do it on the mixing board that a friend of mine uses (he's a dj) but i cant do it on the pc .....
Using hands is easier than the mouse
I am not into writting music or anything but i am ok at mixing .... (not a career choice )

Patchou just used a program with a bunch of samples that were premade and mixed them together. I'm guessing he used either Dance Ejay or Music Maker Delux.

I guess I might fall into the Djing section but then, it depends on how you define DJ. Do you define it as someone who mixes music or as someone who plays music?

Don't use Ejay, very uncreative. Use FL Studio (Fruity Loops Studio). Thats what I used. Excelect program.

check my page in profile, but my finished tracks are not listed in here only some pieces and ideas
I do Dj too sometimes, mostly on private parties

Just checked your stuff gud stuff but man when u mix do NOT bypass 0db thats why your stuff sounds like "prrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" "krrrrrrr" distorted
not only it sounds bad but fucks speakers (especially studio monitors just like mine
)What u can do to make your tracks sound louder is to make sure that your track is somewhere at -5 db on the master chanel (peak meter) and once u export it in .wav format put a limiter/compressor and boost it up. Make sure u dont overcompress it cuz it will sound squashed.

For my gcse music, I have to compose two pieces, I've finished both and now we have the integrated assignment to do. They're in crappy .mid files because I don't have any live recordings. I compose for piano and guitar (but one piece is a violin solo)

I do . Although school is such a heavy load right now that I don't do much. I'm at school from 8 am till 6 pm Monday thru Saturday. Then like 2 hours of homework. Bleh, once summer comes I'm definetly going to start doing more of it. And next year no saturday school!

well i am trance, hardtrance, dance, techno. Pumping sounds at mine, i'm doing it since my 13 and i'm quite routined now. I don't do many gigs because of school, about 4 in a year or so. But i'm planning to do bigger, once. I got some nice propositions but first i wanna finish up school. Dutch people (my website is in dutch) can visit my site and listen to a demo, just PM me if you want to..
EDIT: or just follow my CP to view the link. Fruityloops is a good (belgian) program, but i don't put time in making my own music, that's not my passion. All I want to do is mixing, on the fly
