i found this great tool to remove the ad-banner and MSN Search.

You shouldn't do it actually... that's why Patchou didn't include it any longer in Plus! However everyone is doing it (including me) and I think it's better to run A-Patch, it's safe and has more features than just disable the banner, using a simple wizard.... good luck

I've just tested this patch and it doesn't work for the latest msn messenger (7.0.0777)

also Stuffplug includes some features that can remove some ads.

I tried A-Patch and it works flawlessly with MSN 7.0.0777, it removes the Ad banner and much much more...

Stuffplug isn't yet compatible with the latest msn messenger, well it is, but one of the ones that isn't is the ad-banner in the contact list... The best bet is A-Patch, the thing that people have been talking about... yet haven't posted a link... O.o...

Another patch that helps to remove the ads, and does other things is Ghost Patch, whish can be found here.
I haven't personally used this for removing ads (amazingly enough, my MSN never got the one thing that would've annoyed me in it..
) but several of my friend have used it, and say it is very reliable and good to use.
