I have a problem with my msn messenger 7.0. When I'm online it is impossible for me to send something to other people. It appears that I can't start a conversation with this people. Another problem is that the nicks of the people who are online doesn't appear on my screen in my list.And I can't recieve the messages of other peoples. Can someone please help me

But she doés appear online for other people and can set her personal message. (She's a friend of mine)

Do you get any type of error messages when you try to send messages to anyone? If so what are they?

yes I get error messages that say I cannot start a conversation with this people.... but there are  no errorcodes. I use the windows XP

uninstall MSN Messenger and reinstall it clean

I've already try to use handwriting.

In your options (Tools > Options > Messages)
Uncheck the last option that says : Show the handwrite tab in conversation windows.

Click Apply and Ok and try and open a conversation window.

It doesn't work I really don't know what to do...

Uninstall Messenger Plus! and see if it works.

Remove all additional plugins but keep your settings. Once you have done this restart the computer. Can you talk to people? If so redownload and install Messenger Plus! again without any plugins and try it one more time.

maybe removing, cleaning registry, increasing pagefile may help?

Have you all purposly blanked out your list or does MSN Messenger not show any of the Contact Names?

I am wondering if yuor ListCache.dat file is corrupted.

Usually located at C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\UserID\ (somewhere in here it should say listcachce.dat)

I will PM someone else and have them find the proper location. If you do find it delete it and resart MSN Messenger.

I'm swaying to believe it's a virus of some kind. I suggest updating the virus definitions of your anti-virus software and running a scan, see what comes up. Worth a try.

Virus, anti-spyware, nothing helps. I doubt that file is corrupt, when going back to 6.2 everything works fine. Install 7.0 over and there you got the problem again..

Ok try this... it worked for my friend abovementioned;

Close all instances of MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger you're running completely.
Delete the file MsnHandWriting.dll from your Messenger Plus! Plugins directory. (default directory is: c:\program files\messenger plus!3\plugins)
Go to add/remove programs in the software tab in your configuration settings. Look for "Ink Redistributables" or "InfoPen", click it and uninstall it.
Restart your computer, to make sure everything is completly removed
