RE: Plus Sounds by Sunshine on 04-14-2005 at 01:05 PM They are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Messenger Plus!\Custom Sounds as .dat files, you can play them with any audioplayer. Is there any way to import them into the Messenger Plus of another computer? RE: Plus Sounds by mwe99 on 04-15-2005 at 09:25 PM
If you get an imported file then yes, go to sound library, add new sounds and click import RE: Plus Sounds by Dempsey on 04-15-2005 at 09:28 PM
quote:No and you never will be ablke to browse all sounds. But to get more sounds you can either use the random sound feature or download SoundPacks from sites such as MPSounds.net RE: Plus Sounds by ZaInT on 04-15-2005 at 10:10 PM
mwe99: I can only import Soundpacks, the files I have are in .dat-format from the C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Messenger Plus!3\Custom Sounds-folder. RE: Plus Sounds by Sunshine on 04-15-2005 at 10:18 PM
You can make soundpacks of your own sounds (already in your soundlibrary) by going into the soundlibrary (main msn screen, Plus icon), then choose "add new sounds" and "export existing sounds to create a new soundpack" (rest is selfexplanatory). After doing that move that sounpack to another computer and import the soundpack (soundlibrary > add sounds > import sounds from an existing soundpack...and browse to where you stored it). RE: Plus Sounds by *Saint* on 04-15-2005 at 10:22 PM you can play the .dat files in a media player and you export them the way sunshine said. also if you have a sound editing program you can open them and save them in a different format like .mp3 RE: Plus Sounds by ZaInT on 04-16-2005 at 12:40 AM Or you could add them via the registry, as I found out, problem solved RE: Plus Sounds by user46455 on 04-16-2005 at 01:06 AM i recon it's pretty annoying and pretty hard to concert DAT files which are data files into sound files RE: Plus Sounds by *Saint* on 04-16-2005 at 01:09 AM i just open it in sound forge and goto save as .mp3 it takes like 10 seconds RE: Plus Sounds by user46455 on 04-16-2005 at 01:11 AM oh tnks. Can it convert them to wav. I wanna play them as my start up RE: Plus Sounds by *Saint* on 04-16-2005 at 01:14 AM
ya and any other of these fine formats RE: Plus Sounds by user46455 on 04-16-2005 at 01:19 AM oh ok. Tnks RE: Plus Sounds by haoz on 04-17-2005 at 02:44 AM
