Unable to sign in no errors by -dt- on 04-16-2005 at 05:33 AM
Ok well my problem is very annoying.
my msn won't sign in the msn symbal just spins forever , the only way I've managed to sign in is by deleting my listcache.dat file then sign in and it works.
so what I'm asking is there anyway to let me sign in without deleting that file each time?
edit:
having plus! enabled /disabled dosnt matter and im running the latest msn 7.0.0777

does it make any difference if you change the status while it's signing you in?
cuz it does for me, and i have the same thing happening.
when i change it to away or something, the thing stops spinning and it signs me in right away.

I used to get that error too ..... what i do is that i say .... sign in with another account and then retype my password manually (I have kept it on autosign in with a saved password)
It seems to work that way. Now a dayz i dont have that problem tho

No contacts Uninstall ... reboot then try loggin in normally .... else try what i said ...
If it doesnt work then download msg again .... still no then ..... dodgy msn

yeah its the same as with me.. u hafta wait and not touch anything for like 20-30 seconds and than the list shows up..
i'm gonna try to find how to get it to work better tomorow. try different stuff out maybe something will fix it.. lol..
seriously i didn't find any fix for this anywhere on the internet yet. so i guess it's just something we have to deal with for a while.
Edit: it loads quicker when you quickly minimize the contact window while its signing you in
Edit 2: and even quicker when you minimize it to the tray icon

The problem is dodgy tho ....
Dt has signed in 41 times in the past 58 mins

LOL...
did you minimize the msn window u were signing in? minimize it to the tray icon.
its best when you have apatch than you can just sideclick the icon to sign in.

-dt- are you sure your contacts a re still there? ie if you go to Contacts>
Go to my address book
Can you see your online contacts there?
If so, can you start a converstion with your contacts that way?

The contacts r there cause i can talk to him n he can do the same ..... if they were deleted then id get a msg that dt has not added me to his contact list so i cant talk to him

Dt ... try signing in with win msg if u still have it ... tell me what happens .... mabbe the prob is with ur service

windows msn works , I'm reinstalling msn 7 again...

Try uninstalling ... reg cleaning and then reinstalling after reboot .... if that doesnt work then stab microsoft after saying

it happens to me..
its as if its timed-out..
ive tried different status, tray only, etc etc
i just keep trying to sign in, and it just allows me some times

He tried the win msg then the msn msg and its back 
Its working plus all the emotes that had dissaperaed a few dayz back are back

When I first start MSN and try to sign in, it will just spin forever, but if i press cancel and sign in again, it signs in within 5 seconds with no problems.
