I think it would be pretty good, if on contacts on desktop, there was a thumbnail of the person's display picture, in the same way there is one in the contact list.

Do you really think it would be big enough to make out though?? unless you have really big desktop contacts.....

It would look exactly the same as in the contact list if you have small thumbnails enabled.
Might be going a bit to far for the moment, but if this was implemented, then it would be good if the contact card appeared when you click on the thumbnail.

yep... good idea, but it would look cooler if the dp was maybe 10x10 pxs larger than the actualy contact box... make it look sexy..
