Personal messages should be logged by the_tron on 04-17-2005 at 11:12 PM

In the Events Log, or in people's contact info Recent Events, it lets you know when someone changes their status, or name.

Now with MSN 7.0, I believe Plus should also log personal message changes, and list them along with the display name and status changes.

I don't see it's big importance ( personally use it for messages as " nice weither, today " )

but it could be useful, you got my vote (Y)

I agree. It would make the event log even more complete. You got my vote...

I dont think Patchou likes personal messages tho :P He doesnt have support for a / command to change the personal message.

I do like personal messages, but I can't access them using the usual Messenger API, that's why no support has ben added for them yet :).

Hi,

i agree... there is a few things which the Event Logger is missing, all file transfer events arnt logged... such as a file transfer when it starts or is cancelled (not 100% sure if it logs cancelled).

Also doesnt log Emotion Sound's too which really really needs to be added, because when your going through your logs... some of it doesnt make sense because it doesnt have the emotion sound events logged.

This feature would be great, especially if it included an event log of what songs contacts are listening to.

Seeing as they are toasted would this not be reasonably simple? Like take the text from the pop-up toast sort of thing?

Had already suggested this [topic]

Anyway I would love this feature ;)

- log songs
- log secondary nicks (as usefull as logging the primary so no oh-they-are-all-the-same pls)
- extra way to check contact activity

I'll add this feature as soon as I'll have access to personal messages (and no, I won't go get them in the protocol stream :p). I'm working on it, don't worry, I won't forget :).

Well maybe but Messenger Plus! doesn't mess-up with the Messenger protocol so things can be more difficult sometimes :).
