Hi RE: Disbale the event logger by Shezi on 04-19-2005 at 10:07 PM
this is possible in present version ..... for diabling it... in msn contact list plus>preferences>logging>event log..... RE: Disbale the event logger by matty on 04-19-2005 at 10:41 PM There is no real way to disable Event Logging. There isn't even a registry hack to do it. When Patchou comes back from Japan I will talk to him about this. RE: Disbale the event logger by CookieRevised on 05-26-2005 at 07:16 PM

If he disables Plus! > Preferences > Logging > Event Logging > Record all Messenger events in a file and Plus! > Preferences > Logging > Event Logging > display all messenger events in a window there wont be any trace of event logging, no? RE: Disbale the event logger by fhodnebo on 05-26-2005 at 07:23 PM nope, it just hides.... RE: Disbale the event logger by CookieRevised on 05-26-2005 at 07:34 PM
But nothing is logged.... RE: Disbale the event logger by fhodnebo on 05-26-2005 at 07:59 PM privacy is the problem. You can read the usingpattern of any user in your list... and others can get to it. RE: Disbale the event logger by RaceProUK on 05-26-2005 at 08:01 PM
Nothing is saved to the hard drive though. And the info in the window is wiped when you sign out. RE: Disbale the event logger by fhodnebo on 05-27-2005 at 08:08 AM I'm sorry, but i'm not looking to argue on the matter. All I wanted was an answer to whether it's gonna be possible ti disable completely or not. I think it's weird that a function like this just HAS to be switched on at all moments. And for my on personal sake, I dislike as I have a computer that runs day and night always logged on. I am aware of the fact that nothing is saved, but that's not good enough when i'm logged in for weeks at a time.... RE: Disbale the event logger by RaceProUK on 05-27-2005 at 09:45 AM So do what Cookie suggested, and stop it recording anything. RE: Disbale the event logger by fhodnebo on 05-27-2005 at 09:54 AM but it logs everything anyway, thats the problem!! you just have to clock on the "event log window" to get it all displayed. No way to turn it off... RE: Disbale the event logger by RaceProUK on 05-27-2005 at 10:19 AM
