email window startup with conversation window by rcgras on 04-23-2005 at 08:31 AM

hello

whenever a person begins opens a new chat window or i open a chat window, automatically a window for sending them an email opens aswel.

with my slow computer and popularity (joke) this gets highly annoying,

anyway to sort it out?

it first happened when i installed plus for 6.2 but now im running 7 with plus and mess.be patch and problem still occurs

If when you uninstall Plus does this problem still happen? (I'm not saying you should get rid of Plus, I'm just curiou if this is the direct cause of the problem)

What is your default E-mail application on your computer (that opens when the E-mail to be sent window appears) or is it just Hotmail in a browser?

Is Plus configured to monitor a POP3 e-mail account?

This is also used to happen to me while using the MSN 7 betas. I had plus! monitoring pop3 and when i opened a conversation, it opened my default email client, thunderbird. You can recreate what happens by right clicking on a contact, send other and send E-mail.
I can't really remember what i did to sort it out, but i think that it was fine again after I had the new version of msgplus and the new MSN 7.

Well if that fixed it for yourself, then it would seem logical that this may help;

Uninstall Plus, and MSN Messenger then reboot your computer. Then when your computer is back on download and install MSN Messenger, if it works fine again, install Plus.
